The Corner shop project uses FINBIT; which is a technology system developed by L-IFT in 2018. It includes an android app for data collection and a data portal for communicating results.
This project uses the FINBIT app for the purpose of:
Understanding how ‘the corner shop’ responded to the crisis (COVID -19)
Learning what role the corner shop has during the crisis
Getting real-time information about the shortages in dispersed locations
Learning how the corner shop combines its business goals of earning money with its responsibilities to its community (do they survive or not, do they thrive or not, do they take advantage of the situation or not)
Through the channel of the corner shops, the study may be able to learn about community solidarity or conflicts during the crisis.
